ROUTE
GR 766 947, Urmston Station, B road south, church, white road then green track south, black path directly to Weir, Trans Pennine Trail for 3.5 miles to Chorlton Water Park, cycleway along south bank of Chorlton Water Park, Trans Pennine Trail for 2 miles, when B5167 bridge comes into view take steps on left and cross grass to path, CH, Simon’s Bridge, Trans Pennine Trail for 5 miles (staying with centre of Warrington option shown on map), cross A626 (between Lancashire Hill and Portwood), cycle route northwest, car park symbol, white road northwest, B road north, North Reddish, Fir Tree 7 min – Reddish North Station.

TERRAIN
Terrain: Generally riverside and woodland tracks, with some road walking, mainly at the end.
Refreshments: Jackson’s Boat at Jackson’s Bridge.  Chip shop, Café Nero and Crown at Didsbury.  Crown – across road on leaving river to enter Warrington.

WALKED
Nov 29, 2017:  Start 09:55. Pub 15:30 to 16:10.  Hazy sun, icey earlier, cold.
